Blog Post B1- Raul Cuero
I agree with Raul Cuero's ideals of changing one's expectations to succeed. Everyone's from different backgrounds, as Cuero came from a house with no toys, water, or electricity. Anyone can empower themselves to be creative and have these morals to make a better life for themselves. I don't think children completely have a creative disadvantage being born in todays world because I think that they can just grow from what is already created.
I do believe that it is important for kids to get off their electronics and have more "playtime." It is essential to know what Cuero described as "your place" in nature. We need to have more communication skills and be open to other things. Limits are not good growing up in America considering that creativity is not planned. The "intensity" Cuero describes is significant because we as a whole need to get committed and focused without this fear of failing. People are too afraid to try and get so impatient that not everyone lives up to their full potential that we need to go through to get to these processes and steps to succeed.
In every day life, we must learn to observe, be open to change, be open to others ideas, and take the time to sit down with others and share. We grow together, as previously mentioned everyone has different lives, different backgrounds and with the different information we possess, we have the power to do so much more if we have the creative mind to do it. I think it is important to teach kids ways of creativity and letting them know that they are never limited.
