Blog Post B4- Stage Door
Growing up 15 minutes away from the city, I was fortunate enough to get the chance to see many broadway plays. With each so uniquely amazing and captive, it is hard to say a favorite. On Angel de Quinta's Stage Door Blog, he gives really detailed and effective descriptions of some plays. After going through all of the years and reading about them, I thought that, Mary Poppins Returns- The Place Where Lost Things Go, stood out the most to me.
Having the ability to watch these Disney classics as I was growing up makes me stay bonded to the concept of having the return of another work of art. It starts out with a family in distress, as most classic comedies do, and troublesome children, a hard working sister fighting for rights, and a father without the ability to save the legacy of his old property.
This movie has the true definition of fantasy, working with hot air balloons soaring to the sky, and keeping you young while watching. It teaches you that some moments in life are priceless and to never let go of this childhood feeling you may have, for we all deserve some fun and laughter. And like Angel de Quinta states, "...las cosas que crees perdidas pueden estar más cerca de lo que paracen." Some lost things after all are closer than they may seem.
